Kylie Dennis-Calleja completed her Bachelor of Performance Theory and Practice (Honours) in Dance at the UWS in 2006. During Honours she conducted a study on the blending technique of traditional Indigenous movement with modern contemporary dance techniques. Throughout her university career Kylie performed and collaborated with many established artists including Darren Green, Bernadette Walong, Jenny Barry-Knox, Elizabeth Cameron Dalman, Vivienne Rogis, Albert Davis, Michael Waits and Graeme Watson. Kylie was a secondment for Elizabeth Cameron Dalman’s company Mirramu Dance Company 2005 to 2007 where she performed in Waves in the Desert and Cry Baby. Kylie also completed a season with danceTANK with choreographer Anton at the Sydney Opera House.For stagejuice, Kylie devised/performed dancing with… at Quarterbred Festival at PACT, choreographed/performed ball at NightTime #6 at Performance Space and devised/performed in the shadows at PACT Theatre in 2009.
