stagejuice is a Sydney-based hybrid art collective. Fusing performance, dance, visual media and installation, video, sound and music, we aim to create striking and sensual interactions between performer, technology, audience and space. Through collaboration, experimentation and investigation, we combine our individual style and skills to tackle issues relevant to our contemporary surroundings. Currently we love altering perspectives, shadows and diffusions, spaces inside spaces and interactions with strangers.
stagejuice formed in 2006 led by Katy Green as Artistic Director. Projects include Meeting Place (short dance film 2010), History of the Future (Customs House, History Council of NSW, 2010) in the shadows (PACT Theatre, 2009), ball (LiveWorks at Performance Space, 2008), and dancing with… (Quarterbred Festival at PACT, 2007). In 2010 stagejuice launched freshly squeezed, an annual creative and critical playground for emerging artists to experiment with their practice and collaborate with peer artists, which leads to an evening of short works.
