We began with a single word… SMOKE...
...the haze surrounding a bonfire, its effect on the environment, the dissipation of memories, an ache for that next cigarette, or just another trick up a magician's sleeve...
We set out to investigate what this word could mean, do, evoke, illustrate, create, in its multitude of forms, whether literal or not. The stimulus was rich and boundless, immediately inspiring a long list of fascinating ideas. While some of us have remained close to the original stimulus, others were led on a wild venture. All artists endured a process heavily based on experimentation and interrogation.

An open forum on mixing art practices through collaboration and experimentation.
Four speakers from diverse artistic backgrounds discussed how artists can stimulate collaborative approaches, experimentation and creative risk taking in their practice and why it’s so important.

Bring it, share it, risk it. stagejuice hosts a workshop for cross art form jamming in the style of speed-dating.
Artists pair up and respond to varying stimulus being thrown their way in a series of short impro jams.
