Gideon Payten Griffiths
Gideon has trained with institutions and teachers including University of Sydney, ATYP, Pact Theatre, Actors Centre Australia, Suzuki Method, Marjorie Hysteck, John Dean, David Levy, Martin Del Amo and Regina Heilmann. He is passionate about performance and making, using hybrid approaches, in collaboration with other artists or professions. Recent projects include: performer/deviser, Before The Lx Go Out, (Impact Ensemble 2005, The Studio), Toxic Dreams (Pact Theatre 2006), Speech Givers (Explosive Festival 2007, Bremen Germany, Brisbane Festival Under the Radar 2008 and LiveWorks 2008, Performance Space), short works for Quarterbred and squareone 2006 and 2007, Finale (Pacitti Company, LiveWorks 2008), Firewater (Vivid Sydney, 2009); performer/deviser and committee member, in the shadows (stagejuice, Pact Theatre 2009); technician and instructor, Gathering Grounds (The Block Redfern, 2007); technician, The Whistling Man (Pact Theatre 2006); actor, Short and Sweet Playwriting Workshop (Newtown Theatre 2009); and photography project, making do with mobile phones and other peoples' cameras.
