Kylie Dennis-Calleja - Choreographer, Deviser, Performer
Kylie graduated with a Bachelor of Performance, Theory and Practice (Honours) in Dance at UWS in 2006. During Honours she conducted a study on the blending technique of traditional Indigenous movement with contemporary dance techniques. Throughout Kylie's four years of study she has performed and collaborated many established artists such as; Darren Green, Bernadette Walong, Jenny Barry-Knox, Elizabeth Cameron Dalman, Vivienne Rogis, Albert Davis, Michael Waits and Graeme Watson. Kylie was a secondment for Elizabeth Cameron Dalman’s company Mirramu Dance Company in 2005, 2006 and 2007. She participated in company works such as Waves in the Desert and Cry Baby. More recently, Kylie completed a season with danceTANK and choreographer Anton where she performed in a collaborative youth project presented by the Sydney Opera House.
Kylie is a core member of stagejuice. She devised and performed dancing with… (2007), choreographed/performed ball at NightTime #6 at Performance Space (2008) and devised/performed in the shadows.
